Our FAVORITE tour of our 2 week European trip/cruise!
We are 2 grandparents, our daughter, and our 11-year-old granddaughter, who went on a 2-week cruise/trip to Italy, France, and Spain. We did 11 tours during the 2 weeks, and this tour with Jerome was our family's favorite one! He picked us at the pier in his comfortable van after we got off the cruise ship, and took us on an all-day private tour of the "perched" medieval villages of the back country with a stop in Grasse for a perfume factory tour. Because it was a private tour, Jerome was happy to make adjustments to the tour to fit our needs. After having just been in Rome, Pisa, and Portofino, where there were thousands of other tourists, this tour was a peaceful and pleasant break from the crowds. Jerome is interesting, intelligent, kind, thoughtful, and speaks excellent English. He was a pleasure to spend the day with. He taught us so much about France and its history, and made it interesting, even for our 11-year-old granddaughter. We weren't sure we wanted to do the perfume tour in Grasse, because we aren't really perfume wearers, but we ended up loving that part of the tour, seeing the flower fields where high-end perfumes come from, seeing the production facility and learning about the perfume-making process. We had fun getting to sample lots of different perfumes in their beautiful gift shop, and we ended up picking out some lovely French perfumes, lotions and soaps to take back home with us. The villages Jerome took us to were so beautiful that we now want to go back to them someday.
I highly recommend this tour. It was worth every penny we paid for it!
